Klein Curacao Challenge widely covered
The Klein Curacao Challenge was a great success and has been widely covered, locally and internationally. Also the website of the World body of Optisailing IODA and the National Olympic Committee of the Netherlands Antilles published nice pictures and covered the story.

Ennia Banco di Caribe Optinam 2009 Team sails Klein Curacao Challenge
The nine kids that qualified for the Optinam 2009 will be challenging the rough seas between Klein Curacao and Curacao. They will most probably need more than four hours to sail the more than 30 kilometer stretch and will need to survive high seas and gusty winds. On Saturday 13th they will leave Klein Curacao at 11:00 and are expected to arrive at the Lions Dive Hotel at around 15:00 (depending on windstrength).

AHO jeugdzeilers in Ecuador weer succesvol
Een 1e plaats bij de jeugd tot en met twaalf jaar, een 3e plaats bij de meisjes, een 3e plaats in de Nationscup en 5 zeilers in de top vijftig. Het Antilliaanse jeugdzeilen heeft zich tijdens de South American Optimist Championships in Salinas, Ecuador weer van de goede kant laten zien.

AHO Optimist team in Ecuador for South Americans
Seven of our kids are representing the Netherlands Antilles in Salinas Ecuador. The wind will most probably be lighter than we usually have on Curacao. That will be quite challenging.
The Opening Ceremony took place on April 3rd and official Racing starts on April 5th.

Most youth sailing events are open events which means that parents can enter their children directly. Examples are St.Thomas Scotia Bank regatta, Orange Bowl in Miami, Sneekweek, Splash Worlds and many more. Some youth events are restricted. Examples are Optimist Worlds, Optimist Regional Championships and ISAF Youth Worlds. Only YSNA is authorized by IODA and NASAF to enter participants in these events.
